launch in 7 Indian cities. MetroMela's (www.metromela.com) city centric features
enable consumers to find information, share their experience and make informed
decisions on Shopping, Food, Entertainment, Health, Wellness, Family & Kids. It also
helps local businesses know their customers and build stronger relationships with
them. This service is now available in Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore, Pune, Vizag,
Cochin and Mysore.
MetroMela features over 4,000 local businesses, more than 800 local expert reviews
and guides and 700 hot shopping deals running in the city. It brings together
original and proprietary editorial content, business listings, deals and community
feedback. In addition to bringing local trends to consumers, the service enables
transactions with local businesses. The access mechanisms for such relevant and
updated information include Internet, mobile and other media.
Announcing the launch, Nitin Chowdhary, Chief Operating Officer of MetroMela said,
